Find a Psychologist

The WPA office does not make specific provider recommendations, but provides these resources for individuals seeking care:

WPA Member Directory

The WPA has an online member directory where you can narrow down search parameters to identify a WPA member which may specialize in what you're seeking. This search tool is designed to allow you to set a number of criteria including your zip code, type of problem you want to address, whether Medicaid is accepted, and more.

Psychology Today Providers

If you don’t locate any WPA members in the Directory who can assist, this link will direct you to the Wisconsin providers who can be found through Psychology Today.

Other Resources/References

When looking for a psychologist, it may be helpful for you to gather information from a variety of sources. Today, many family practice physicians work with teams that include psychologists. Your physician may be able to refer you to a psychologist he or she knows and trusts. You can also ask for recommendations from clergy, family or friends.
